Birdwatching at Boulston and Pembrokeshire
Pembrokeshire is renowned for the variety of wildlife and particularly the birds both inland and on the coast. Boulston is located at the centre of the County which makes it convenient to access the whole of the Pembrokeshire Coastline.
The current owners grandfather planted over 100 acres of woodland to encourage birds and is credited with bringing Canada geese from Slimbridge in Gloucestershire to the Foreshore at Boulston where they have successfully established.
It is not necessary to leave Boulston to enjoying bird watching and a recent guest spotted the following during a short stay : -
| Great Spotted Woodpecker Blackcap Swallows Mistlethrush Song thrush Blackird Robin Little Egret Heron Cormorant Shelduck Various gulls Tits Wrens Greenfinches Woodpigeon Jay Jackdaw Rook Carrion crow Swift Sparrow hawk Canada Geese Pied Wagtail Goldcrest Bullfinch Chif chaff Ravens |
